Dogpatch: From Industrial Roots to San Francisco’s Hottest Neighborhood
Dogpatch keeps surprising me. Lunch at Souvla on Third Street, inside the old Magnolia Brewing space. High ceilings, big windows and that industrial shell turned into something warm. Greek rotisserie with a California accent. The rotisserie chicken came out juicy inside, with lemon and a yogurt sauce, cucumber and a radish. Lamb salad was very healthy. The meat was good and the vegetables were fresh. Places like this tell you a lot about a neighborhood. Dogpatch went from warehouses to lofts, galleries and restaurants worth crossing town for, and it is one of the most interesting corners of San Francisco to buy in right now.
