Did you know Pittsburg offers an on-demand, shared shuttle service? 🚐✨ It's called Tri MyRide by Tri Delta Transit, and it’s a game-changer for getting around town without a car! What is the Service Zone? 🗺️ Tri MyRide operates within specific, dedicated zones. If you’re in Pittsburg, you’ll be using the Pittsburg/Bay Point zone, which covers the neighborhoods surrounding the Pittsburg/Bay Point BART and Pittsburg Center eBART stations. As long as your trip starts and ends within this single zone, Tri MyRide has you covered! (Note: There are also separate zones for Antioch/Oakley and Brentwood if you're ever out that way). Here’s how it works: 📱 Tap: Open the Tri MyRide app (or call 925-470-4997) to request a pickup anywhere in the zone. 📍 Walk: Head to the nearby "virtual corner" indicated on your screen. 🚐 Ride: A white, yellow, and blue shuttle picks you up and groups you with neighbors heading in the same direction. 💸 Pay: It’s just $2 per ride (you can pay via the app, Clipper card, or exact cash). When it runs: ⏰ Weekdays: 5:00 AM – 9:00 PM Weekends & Holidays: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Who uses it: 🚆 Daily Commuters connecting to the BART stations who want to skip the morning parking hunt. 🎒 Students catching a reliable, affordable ride to class .🛒 Locals running errands, heading to medical appointments, or just grabbing groceries. And how it started: It was born to solve the classic "first and last-mile" problem. Transit planners realized that for a lot of residents, the hardest part of taking public transit was just getting from their front door to the actual station. Launched as an innovative micro transit pilot program, it was specifically designed to bridge the gap between our residential neighborhoods and major transit hubs. Today, it's a local favorite keeping the community connected!
