You know what really helped me progress in life? It’s the thought about my future self.

Someone said, “Imagine yourself in the future. How much do you earn? How do you look? What car do you drive? What family and friendships do you have?” And by answering those questions and writing everything down, I created the image of my future self.

Turns out, my future self generates business by prospecting (looking for clients) for 2 hours per day. After realizing that, I put it on my calendar and stayed consistent with the activity.

One day, my husband and I went to an open house where I fell in love with the property. When we went walking around the lake, he asked me, “Describe the home you saw earlier.” So I started. I thought I remembered a lot, but then he said, “Just imagine how your future self would describe it,” and it was eye-opening! I uploaded the picture I took from that home to ChatGPT and asked it to describe it. So that was the moment I got into learning all the types of floors, marble, and other details about the home.

Knowing your future self is like having a compass. Follow it, and it will quietly guide you toward the person you are meant to become.
