It is full of locally owned businesses and restaurants, which includes in my opinion the best taco shop in San Diego, Estrada’s Mexican Food. Even though it’s just a short 25 minutes to the coast, the city of Santee strives to make it as easy as possible to live with their increase of economic development. In just the past 6 years, Santee has become home to many new thriving new construction communities. With builder incentives off the charts, it has made it equally possible to get an affordable mortgage payment!
According to the city of Santee official website, 71% of homes are owner-occupied, meaning more families growing the neighborhoods. The median sales price is also less than the San Diego average, with a purchase price of $840,000.
Santee is an amazing place to call home and I have had the privilege of doing so since 1994. It has just been incredible to see what this wonderful city of San Diego has become. It’s the crown Jewel of East County San Diego.
