WAIT… THIS IS ONLY 30 MINUTES FROM ELK GROVE?! 🌊 For Labor Day, our village wanted to hang by the river and float from one spot to another. But with Cashy still fighting a little bug, we hung back, people-watched, and waited for the crew. While Cashy napped, I got in the water for a little bit myself and wow. Clean, cool, crisp, and SO refreshing. I watched floaters, paddle boarders, and boats pass by while thinking… how is this just in our backyard?! Just about 30 minutes from Elk Grove, you have access to rivers, hiking trails, bike paths, lakes, and so many places to get outside and actually enjoy where we live. And the kids LOVED it. They played, explored, got in the water, and just enjoyed being kids. The best part? There’s something for everyone. You can do an easy, family-friendly float like we did for about an hour, make your route longer, or, if you’re an adventure seeker, head out for some whitewater rapids. 🙌🏼 These are the moments that make us truly love calling Sacramento/Elk Grove home. ❤️
