POV: You moved to Elk Grove and you’re worried you won’t find your people or your gym. Don’t worry. You’re going to be just fine.
One of the things I’ve come to love about Elk Grove is that there is truly something here for everyone, especially when it comes to fitness.
And as someone who is currently navigating my third postpartum fitness journey, finding a workout routine that feels good physically and mentally has become so much more important to me.
A few weeks ago, I joined a Barbie & Ken-themed Hot Pilates class at NFlow and Ness Fitness, and it was everything. The workout was challenging, the theme was fun, and the whole experience reminded me that fitness doesn’t always have to feel like another thing on your never-ending to-do list.
Sometimes, it can simply bring you joy.
And honestly? Elk Grove has no shortage of places to find that.
Whether you love high-intensity workouts, strength training, group classes, Pilates, cardio, or just want a place where you can move your body and meet people, there are so many options around town.
You’ve got The Camp, WarriorZ, Club Studio, LB 4 LB, Orangetheory, CORE Recreation, Kaia Fit, Uplift, NFlow and Ness Fitness, just to name a few.
There are boutique-style studios, larger fitness clubs, recreation centers, HIIT-style workouts, Pilates, strength training and everything in between.
And that matters more than you might think.
When you relocate somewhere new, finding your routine can be one of the quickest ways to start feeling at home.
You find a workout class you love.
You start recognizing the same faces.
You grab coffee afterward.
You make friends.
You become part of a community.
And suddenly, the place that once felt new starts feeling like home.
For me, fitness has become about so much more than changing my body. Postpartum this time around (3 kids) has been a season of searching, rebuilding and figuring out who I am in this new phase of life.
I’m slowly seeing improvements in my strength, mobility and endurance, and yes, I’m finally starting to fit into some of my clothes again—which feels like a pretty fun bonus. 😂
But the biggest change has been how I feel.
Fitness helps calm the storm in my head and brings a little more peace to my heart.
So if you’re thinking about relocating to Elk Grove and fitness is an important part of your lifestyle, don’t fear you’ll find your gym here. I know that was one of my biggest hurdles when we decided to move.
And more importantly, you might just find your people.
Because Elk Grove isn’t just a place to live. It’s a place where you can build routines, find community and create a life that actually feels like yours.
And if you’re looking for a place where you can have a great home AND still make it to your favorite workout class with minimal traffic? Well… that’s kind of my specialty. 😉
If you’re considering a move to Elk Grove, Sacramento or the surrounding area, send me a message. I’d love to help you find your next home and your next favorite neighborhood.
